Served homemade cuisine with seasonal produce. Enjoyed free full English breakfast, terrace, and garden. Also had amenities like concierge service and picnic area.

Couldn't find a complaint even if I tried. Everything was just perfect.

We loved the great breakfast and friendly service. The staff were accommodating and made us feel at home. We didn't even mind that there wasn't room service because they were always available to help with anything we needed.

Felt like we were relaxing at home, no complaints at all.

The location of the hotel is excellent, with beautiful scenery surrounding it. Guests can enjoy stunning views of Lantern Pike and rolling hills from the breakfast room. The staff are friendly and welcoming, making guests feel at home. Additionally, the food at the pub is amazing, with a new menu offering a variety of delicious dishes.

The room temperature can be an issue, as the radiators are only operated for a few hours in the morning and evening. This can make the room uncomfortably cold at times.

The location of the hotel was convenient, being close to the city center and easily accessible by public transport. The staff were friendly and accommodating, offering us useful tips and recommendations for exploring the city. Additionally, the hotel had a charming and cozy atmosphere, making it a pleasant place to relax after a day of sightseeing.

The room we stayed in was a bit dated and could benefit from some renovations. The noise from the nearby road also disrupted our sleep, as our room was not well insulated.

What a great find! We stumbled upon this cozy inn while exploring the Peak District. The rooms were clean, warm, and had a certain charm that added to the overall experience. The food was absolutely delicious, especially the steak and stilton pie and the freshly cooked breakfasts. We also had the pleasure of meeting friendly locals with fascinating stories to share. Despite the parking challenges during the bank holiday weekend, we loved using this inn as our base for exploring the beautiful landscapes, such as the picturesque Dovedale and the walks around the Derwent Dam. I highly recommend this inn for a charming and memorable stay in the Peak District.

The inn is conveniently located close to walking routes, making it a great choice for outdoor enthusiasts. The staff and owner are pleasant, and the rooms are clean and tidy. Although some rooms are small, they provide comfortable beds and a TV for relaxation. The breakfast options, such as Alpen, cooked breakfast, and toast, are enjoyable.

The menu choice for evening meals is limited, which can be disappointing for guests expecting a wider selection.

What a charming place to stay! The rooms may be smaller, but that's to be expected in a 400-year-old farmhouse. The large bathroom and comfortable bed made up for it. The pub has a cozy atmosphere, especially by the roaring fire on a cold day. The owners, Stella and Tom, were incredibly accommodating and made our stay enjoyable. Breakfast was delicious, and they even reserved a table for us in the evening.

The shower had low pressure and inconsistent temperatures.

I had a fantastic stay at a lovely country pub with a great atmosphere. The warm welcome from Tom and the young lady staff member made me feel right at home. Although the room was small, it had everything I needed and the bed was very comfortable. The dinner was delicious, especially the combo Sunday roast and the bread pudding. Breakfast was superb, although I would have preferred some background music. I had a fantastic stay and would definitely visit again. Thank you Stella and Tom for a great experience.
